→ Organic synthesis laboratory
This laboratory is located in the Department of Organic Chemistry at the Faculty of Chemistry of the University of Valencia. It has the necessary equipment and material to carry out the synthesis, purification and characterization of functionalized haptens which are required for the generation of antibodies and the development of immunoassays.
In addition, there is access to the Central Services for Experimental Research (SCSIE) of the University of Valencia, which include, among others, the services of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance, Mass Spectrometry and Proteomics, which provide the necessary tools for an adequate characterization of all synthesized compounds.
→ Analytical Immunotechnology Laboratory
This laboratory is part of the Institute of Agrochemistry and Food Technology (IATA), which is one of many public research centers that constitute the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). The IATA is located in the Scientific Park of the University of Valencia and is a preferential user of the Central Services for Experimental Research (SCSIE) of the University of Valencia which holds, among others, the Animal Production Service, which has specialized staff in the handling of experimental animals, and the Mass Spectrometry Service for the characterization and analysis of bioconjugates. Moreover, the IATA Proteomics Service has all the necessary instruments to carry out the modification, labeling and purification of proteins. In addition, the Analytical Immunotechnology Laboratory is equipped with microplate readers and washers, refrigerators and freezers, spectrophotometers, sample homogenizers, fume extractors, GC and HPLC equipments coupled with UV and MS detectors, and all kinds of general instruments necessary for the development and validation of immunoassays in microplate and other immunochemical analytical methods.
→ Cell Cultures and Hybridoma Production Laboratory
The Cell Culture Laboratory, located at IATA, is an independent P2-level biological-safety room furnished with several laminar flow cabins for working under sterile conditions and a series of controlled-atmosphere incubators. In addition, the laboratory is equipped with an optical microscope, a benchtop centrifuge, baths, fridges and freezers.
