Consuelo Agulló was born in Dénia (Alicante), Spain. She studied Chemical Sciences at the University of Valencia (1976) where she completed her Doctorate (1981) under the supervision of Professor E. Seonae. In 1977 she was appointed Non-Numerary Assistant Professor (PNN) and in 1986 she received her qualification as an Associate Professor in the Department of Organic Chemistry at the University of Valencia where she teaches chemistry, biotechnology and pharmacy. Her research is mainly focused on the Synthesis of Bioactive Natural Products and the Development of Immunoassays for Xenobiotics and Biotoxins. She is a member of the Royal Spanish Society of Chemistry (RSEQ).
